Sarah Williams
DIRECTOR
Sarah is a former Becker teacher and has 15 years of experience teaching early childhood through third grade. Her passion of multi-sensory learning led her to co-create Literacy Enrichment And Play (LEAP), which she ran for seven years and has been an integral part of our Becker curriculum. Sarah has presented original workshops on play-based learning at a variety of early childhood conferences and schools. She has a Bachelor of Science in Child Development, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and is a trained Dyslexia Specialist. Sarah believes all children deserve the opportunity to develop at their full potential and flourish in school, their community, and life. She, her husband Adam and their three girls are members of Congregation Emanu El.
Judy Lazor
Assistant director - admissions
Judy Lazor grew up in Houston and is a life-long member of Emanu El, having joined the synagogue in 1957. Judy graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Education and began working at Becker School in May of 2000. She has two boys and two precious grandchildren, Moshe and Leba. Her hobbies include baseball, movies and reading.
Erika Roberts
licensing & logistics coordinator
Erika Roberts is from Houston, and she is a wife and mother of two. Erika holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Theatre and Television from Texas Christian University. She began her career teaching children working as an acting instructor for children ages 5-12 for children's theatre company here in Houston. After the birth of her children, Erika moved into her early childhood career working as a Twos teacher and coordinator of summer camp programs at the Becker school. She also has experience working in children’s ministry at a local church, coordinating the elementary Sunday School programs and family worship experiences.
Leslie Strug
marketing & communications Coordinator
Leslie Strug was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She studied psychology and education at Tulane University and art at University of Houston. She has worked at Becker in both the classroom and the office for more years than she can remember. Leslie has a passion for education, art, the Astros and, most importantly, her family.
